Un liutaio ed il suo erede per la creazione ed il restauro di strumenti unici, arricchiti da magnifici intarsi e rosette. Chitarre classiche, battenti, romantiche e barocche, mandole, mandolini o mandoloni sono solo alcune delle creazioni del liutaio Pasquale Scala e del figlio Leonardo. Arte, conoscenza, capacità di trattare il legno: così nascono gli strumenti nel laboratorio dei liutai Scala. Strumenti che sono cimeli del passato fatti rinascere perchè ci allietino con le loro melodie. Entrare nel laboratorio Scala è come tuffarsi nel passato circondati da chitarre battenti, vielle, ghironde, liuti e mandolini di fattezza unica e inimitabile. Grazie alla bravura degli Scala gli strumenti vengono arricchiti da intarsi in legno, madreperla, pergamena, osso, che conferiscono loro un valore unico ed apprezzabile dai veri intenditori. Gli Scala costruiscono anche strumenti di base che hanno anch'essi uno stile e una musicalità uniche, poiché qui tutto è fatto a mano, dalla preparazione alla verniciatura, ed è questo che fa si che gli strumenti prendano vita.

In English: A luthier and his heir focused on the creation and the restoration of unique instruments and on enriching them with beautiful inlays and rosettes. Classical, romantic and baroque guitars, mandolas and mandolins and colascioni are just some of the creations of the luthier Pasquale Scala and his son Leonardo. The craftsmanship and the knowledge of wood and tecniques of these Italian luthiers is what makes these instruments so unique in sound and appearance. Instruments which are relics of the past are born again here, so we can still rejoice with the melody they produce. Entering the Scala workshop is a journey back in time, we are surrounded by lutes, guitars and mandolins, all decorated with wood and mother of pearl or bone inlays and with the rosettes made by Leonardo. The Scala workshop also creates more basic instruments that still have superb style and musicality, since everything is done by hand, from preparation to painting, and that is what makes these instruments come to life.
